SW 9th—an historic corridor in south Des Moines—is currently characterized by vacant and blighted properties, narrow right-of-way, traffic congestion, and a lack of non-vehicular social functions. The SW 9th Street Corridor Plan articulates an inspiring vision for the revitalization of the corridor by developing frameworks for immediate action, continued community effort, and builds a future around the generation of ideas in a rich mixed-use setting.
