Visioning Time Check

Location : Time Check Neighborhood, Cedar Rapids, Iowa

In 2008, Cedar Rapids suffered a major flood of the Cedar River. The CDL provided research for the Time Check area to create ways to reconnect the neighborhood. Opportunities for ecological and commercial revitalization included managing stormwater, developing a greenway, and creating an alternative transportation network. Plans were also created to re-purpose vacant land; see also the Ellis Boulevard Urban Farm project.
